Ipsos surprised beauty executives with a runway show at its recent What The Future event in New York City. Called A Complex Portrait of Beauty, the event focused on themes including customization, inclusion, purpose, machine learning, and data. The runway featured diverse models wearing natural makeup and size-inclusive fashions from the Rodarte X Universal Standard collection.
Then came keynote speaker David Klingbeil, Global Insights Manager for Luxury and Beauty at Google. He outlined beauty shopper insights for Gen Z from Google and YouTube. He also shared how brands can use data to customize beauty consumer experiences. Later, Ipsos’ Oscar Yuan moderated a panel discussion on how brands still need to catch up on inclusive beauty, how and why Korean beauty is driving the industry, and the kinds of technology that will change our grooming routines. The panel included experts featured in the What The Future beauty edition.
